BIG-FM listeners across Prescott-Russell, Rockland, and Hawkesbury told us what they really wanted… and we decided to take that very seriously (which may have been our first mistake). The result is all those songs radio stations seem to have collectively agreed to forget the college party anthems, the deep cuts, and the “I absolutely still know every word” tracks that prove memory is both impressive and slightly concerning.
The BIG-FM Whatever Goes Weekend runs Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00pm–2:00am, where sleep is optional and nostalgia is doing most of the heavy lifting.
It’s rock, dance, alternative, and everything in between—the kind of mix you recognize instantly and immediately turn up way too loud. Expect full-volume kitchen karaoke, questionable dance moves you’ll deny later, and car concerts that probably shouldn’t be legal without a disclaimer.
And yes just to make things even more chaotic it’s 100% commercial free. No interruptions, no “we’ll be right back,” just music and questionable life choices.
Of course, we still manage to squeeze in the occasional on-air moment that ranges from “interesting” to “we should probably not repeat that.”
It’s chaos, it’s nostalgia, and it’s probably louder than it needs to be.
