The Council of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell has appointed Alexandre Gorman as administrator of the new Prescott and Russell Residence, effective June 8. He will replace Eric Larocque, who is retiring. However, the move to the new building in Hawkesbury has been delayed, in particular because of problems related to the fire alarm system and the required inspections. The construction costs have already reached $92 million. The board also approved an additional $249,000 to correct issues before the opening.
