Hawkesbury’s Need For Varied/Affordable Housing Is Climbing

Hawkesbury is facing a significant need for varied and affordable housing, according to a UCPR presentation to City Council. The 2024-2034 action plan aims to respond to the increase in needs related to an aging population, homelessness and the lack of adapted housing. Among the avenues mentioned: promoting densification, encouraging the construction of affordable housing and better adapting the offer for seniors, low-income people and those in transition to more stable housing.
