The new Food Basics in Embrun was inaugurated yesterday with a large turnout. Operated by Metro, the store marked its opening with a $5,000 donation to the Bons Voisins Food Bank, presented to its president Jean-François Gignac.
The company is also committed to supporting the food bank on a regular basis through customer donations.
This is the 2nd opening of a new Food Basics location in the region after Hawkesbury in August.
